How to Apply - WIC Louisiana

If you qualify, you can enroll and start receiving your WIC benefits right away!

Make an appointment at your nearest WIC clinic. If you are enrolling your child, they should go too.
During your first visit, WIC staff check to make sure you qualify. If so, you will be given food benefits, nutrition education, and shopping tips. You will be given information and help with breastfeeding, referrals for other services, counseling, and answers to your questions.
After your appointment, use all of that new information to get groceries! You can now give your family the healthy meals they need!

WIC welcomes everyone who qualifies. See if that is you:

You might be eligible for WIC if you are pregnant or a mom of a child or children under five.
You must live in Louisiana.
You have to meet income guidelines. You can see if you qualify here.

ℹ HINT: If you are enrolled in Medicaid or receive SNAP of TANF benefits you already meet the income guidelines.
